2024 (Junior): Recorded a .214 batting average with 22 hits this season... had a season high of 3 putouts at UNCW (5/2) with overall 59 putouts this season... Accomplished 2 assists at Stony Brook (4/6) with 6 assists throughout the season... Finished the season with a .949 fielding percentage 

2023 (Sophomore): Scored 11 runs in 11 different games as the primary pinch runner … Made 36 appearances and four starts … Went a perfect  4-for-4 when stealing bases and ranked second on the team … Stole a base and scored a run against Fairfield (2/17) … Scored the game-winning run on Francesca Torraca’s walk-off single versus Drexel (4/22) … Stole a base and scored a run in the Hawks’ victory over Fairleigh Dickinson (5/3).

2022 (Freshman): Made 42 appearances including seven starts … Batted .158 over 19 at-bats … Scored seven runs and went 6-8 on stolen base opportunities … Picked up a stolen base and a run scored against Fairleigh Dickinson (3/6) … Scored one run apiece against Seton Hall (3/23), Delaware (3/30), and Princeton (4/5) … Notched a pair of single in the Fairfield doubleheader, ultimately going 2-5 with a stolen base and a run scored (4/15) … Collected one stolen base in both games of the Siena doubleheader (5/1) and the game one victory against Quinnipiac (5/9).

Before Monmouth: Totaled an impressive .950 fielding percentage in the outfield in addition to an .875 OPS as a sophomore. Won a PGF Midwest Regional Championship in Peoria. Also played for the club team Chicago Cheetahs.
 
Personal: Parents are Alan and Sarah Castaneda. Intends to major in physical therapy. Achieved high honors and was named an AP scholar in the classroom.
 
Salsburg on Castaneda: "Lexi is a speedster with a solid stick from the left side. She is a good defender who we expect to compete right away in the outfield."
