Lauren Fischer

Lauren Fischer joined the Monmouth Softball staff in August of 2017. She came to West Long Branch after a successful four-year softball career at Seton Hall University as both a pitcher and hitter.

In 2019, Fischer helped lead Monmouth its second straight MAAC Championship and NCAA Tournament appearance. The Hawks closed the campaign with a 36-18 overall record, winning the second most games for a single season in program history.

Fischer helped guide the Hawks to historic heights in 2018, as the team won its first-ever conference tournament championship and made its first NCAA appearance. The Hawks also won their first Regular Season Championship since 1999 after registering a 19-1 MAAC record, which broke the record for the most conference wins in team and MAAC history.

Fischer appeared in 86 games as a pitcher and 130 games as a hitter at Seton Hall, earning 17 wins in the circle and racking up 73 hits at the plate. A true two-way player, she pitched 314 total innings in her collegiate career in addition to hitting 17 home runs and 55 RBI.

A native of Robbinsville, NJ, Fischer brings four years of coaching experience that included the head coaching position for the New Jersey Nightmare. There she ran open tryouts to discover the best youth talent in the New Jersey and Philadelphia area, created practice plans to prepare the team for upcoming competition, and assisted players’ college search.

Fischer also has experience with softball camps, including four years of Seton Hall Camps and three years at Nike Softball Camps.

Her accolades include Stillman School of Business Excellence in Marketing Award, 2015 NFCA Academic All American, National College Athlete Honors Society, 2014-2016 Big East Academic All Star, Softball SAAC (Student Athlete Activities Committee), 2017 NJAIAW Seton Hall Woman of the Year, and 2017 NFCA All Region Selection.
