SENIOR (2013): Named to the prestigious MAC Hermann Trophy Watch List in the preseason and went on to earn NSCAA All-North Atlantic Region First Team, All-ECAC First Team, All-MAAC First Team and All-Academic Team… Contributed a goal and three assists… Started all 18 games played in the Hawks’ midfield as team captain… Tallied an assist on the game-winning goal against Iona… Scored the game-winning goal at Marist… Assisted on the game-winning goal against Quinnipiac and added another helper against Niagara.
JUNIOR (2012): Earned NSCAA All-Region First Team and All-NEC First Team… Started all 19 games as the Hawks’ captain in the midfield, scoring a team-high five goals while also dishing out three assists… Scored his first goal of the season in the Hawks’ 3-1 victory over Providence (Aug. 27)… Netted the game-winning goal in double overtime against Bryant (Oct. 7)… Dished out his first assists of the year at Quinnipiac (Oct. 11)… Scored a goal and added an assist at Mount St. Mary’s (Oct. 14)… Scored a goal for the second straight game and his third tally in four games with the game-winner against Robert Morris (Oct. 19)… Dished out an assist on Ryan Clark’s game-winner at LIU Brooklyn (Oct. 28)… Scored his fourth game-winning goal of the season in the regular-season finale against Sacred Heart (Nov. 4).
SOPHOMORE (2011): A pivotal contributor in the Hawks’ midfield, Schmid tied for second on the team with three goals and was third in both assists (5) and points (11) … Tallied his first point in a Hawks uniform at nationally-ranked Old Dominion on Sept. 11, before scoring his first Monmouth goal on The Great Lawn against Seton Hall on Sept. 16 … Scored his first Northeast Conference goal against LIU Brooklyn on Sept. 30, before scoring the game winner at Fairleigh Dickinson in the 104th minute on Oct. 14 … Added four more assists against conference foes … Tallied an assist in consecutive games against Quinnipiac and St. Francis (N.Y.), before contributing a helper against both Central Connecticut and Fairleigh Dickinson in the NEC Tournament Semifinals and Championship, respectively … Was successful on both of his penalty kick attempts in shootout victories against CCSU in the NEC Semifinals and Stony Brook in the NCAA Tournament First Round.
FRESHMAN (2010 at Villanova): Named to the BIG EAST's All-Rookie Team following a stellar freshman campaign for the Wildcats... Made 17 starts, scoring three goals, including two game-winners, and adding an assist.
US NATIONAL TEAM: Member of the United States National Team U14, U15, and U17 pool selection.
HIGH SCHOOL: Named the 2009 Pennsylvania Gatorade Player of the Year at Wyoming West Valley High School... Named a four-time all-state choice in Pennsylvania and a NSCAA Regional All-American in 2008.
CLUB: Played his club soccer with FC Delco, where he earned four all-state club soccer nods.
