2012: Made five relief appearances, covering 4.2 innings for the Hawks… Pitched a clean inning against Saint Joseph’s (Feb. 18) in his season debut, striking out one… Held Fairleigh Dickinson (Mar. 17) scoreless in one inning of work, limiting the Knights to one hit while needing just eight pitches to retire the side and close the game out in the seventh… Held Massachusetts (Mar. 21) off the scoreboard in 1.2 innings of work, allowing two hits and two walks, while striking out one.  

High School: Competed at Maine Endwell... Named to the All-New York State First Team... Finished his career with the Spartans with a 1.27 ERA, which is a school record... Compiled a 5-0 record in 2010 with a 1.81 ERA in 31 innings of work, including a victory in the Sectional IV Championship game.  Tabbed to the STAC All-Division squad... Named a Perfect Game Mid-Atlantic Top Prospect.

Personal: Son of Dave and Sally Van Woert... Majoring in business finance and economics.
