Biography

Quickly: Adds depth to the pitching staff... Left-hander with a good fastball and sharp breaking ball... Will be used as a starter as well as reliever in 2006.

2005: Appeared in 10 games, making one start... Posted a 2-0 mark on the season... Threw 1.0 hitless inning with two strikeouts against Dallas Baptist (3/8)... Tossed 1.2 scoreless innings at St. Francis [N.Y.] (4/16), earning his first collegiate victory... Made first start of the season at Princeton, earning second win by throwing 6.0 innings, allowing just three runs.

2004: Appeared in four games for the Hawks, making one start? Notched a 3.97 ERA in 11.1 innings pitched and struck out 10 batters on the season? Made his first appearance of the season vs. Brigham Young (3/11), pitching 1.0 inning of perfect ball? Struck out five in 4.0 innings of work against Pace (4/17)? Started his first game against Rutgers (4/29), striking out four batters in 6.0 innings.

2003: Made six appearances for the Hawks, all in a relief role... Worked 5.0 innings, and registered four strikeouts... Made collegiate debut at UCF (3/1), throwing 1.2 innings with two strikeouts... Struck out one in 1.0 inning of work at Air Force (3/10)... Struck out one and allowed one hit in an inning of work at Lafayette (4/15).

High School: Four-year letterwinner in baseball at Cresskill H.S.... Competed as a pitcher, outfielder and first baseman during his career... Named first-team all-league as a sophomore, junior and senior... Named third-team all-county following his senior campaign... Went 32-8 for his career as a pitcher... Also earned four letters in football as a wide receiver/defensive back... Team went 39-6-1 in his four seasons... Named second-team all-league in 2000 as a receiver... Honored as first-team all-league in 2001 as a defensive back... Helped lead Cougars to two league championships and two state runner-up distinctions as a sophomore and junior... Team finished as state runner-up for third consecutive season in 2001.
