High School: Earned three varsity letters at Vernon Township High School... Help lead the Vikings to a 22-6 record and a league championship in 2006... Named to the SCIL All-League team... Contributed to school's second consecutive league championship in 2007... Earned all-state honors as a junior and senior after the 2007 and 2008 campaigns... Named an all-league selection during junior and senior seasons, as well... Compiled 82 stolen bases, 22 home runs and 101 hits during his three years on varsity... Also earned four letters in basketball.
