Former East Carolina standout, John D'Angelo joints Coach Ehehalt's staff as the Director of Player Development.  D'Angelo will focus on strength and conditioning along with player development in life skills.

A 2009 graduate from East Carolina, D'Angelo spent two years as a catcher for the Pirates, helping lead the team to a Conference USA Regular Season Championship and a NCAA Regional Championship in his senior season.  Before arriving at ECU, he played for nationally ranked Dutchess Community College in Poughkeepsie, New York, where lead the team to a 2005 regional final appearance.  The Poughkeepsie native batted .295 his freshman season followed by a .287 average in his second season for the Falcons.  While at DCC, D'Angelo spent the 2007 season coaching his alma mater Millbrook High School to a 15-4 record and a Section 9 Championship, its first championship in 10 years. 

During his high school years, D'Angelo was the starting varsity catcher all four seasons.  He was named team captain during his final three seasons and was tabbed to the all-conference squad his junior and senior seasons. 

D'Angelo currently resides in Belmar.
