James Morisano

    Volunteer Assistant Coach
James Morisano joined the Monmouth Baseball coaching staff ahead of the 2021 season. Morisano is a hitting instructor and catching coordinator at Premiere Baseball Academy as well as at Detail Hitting, where he has coached since September 2019. He works with players on live at-bats, swing techniques, as well as receiving, blocking, communication and more with the catchers.

A 2018 graduate of Saint Louis University, Morisano was named to the Johnny Bench Award Watch List twice, both in 2016 and 2017, and was named as one of the top 100 seniors to be drafted in the 2018 MLB Draft. He helped his team to two Atlantic 10 regular season titles and the 2018 A10 Tournament title. 

Morisano played professional baseball for both the River City Rascals and New Jersey Jackals. He also spent time in 2017 with the St. Louis Cardinals as the rehab bullpen catcher.
