Jack Arend

Jack Arend joined the Monmouth Baseball Staff in September 2022. Arend, who most recently spent the 2022 campaign in Hanover, NH with the Dartmouth College Baseball Team, will be the Hawks catching coach, assist with the hitters, and camp coordinator.

At Dartmouth, Arend worked with infielders and assisted with hitters. He helped guide Dartmouth to a .971 fielding percentage, ranking second in the Ivy League while working daily with three All-Ivy League Conferences Selections: Justin Murray (First Team All-Ivy Utility), Tyler Cox (First Team All-Ivy SS & Rookie of the Year), and Connor Bertsch (Second Team All-Ivy 3B).

Prior to his stop at Dartmouth, Arend coached in the Futures Collegiate Baseball League for the Brockton Rox where he served as an assistant coach in the summer of 2021. In the fall of 2021 he served as a Graduate Assistant coach at Nichols College (Dudley, MA) where he was in charge of the catchers and head JV coach.

A four-year starting catcher at Bates College (Lewiston, ME), Arend received First Team All-NESCAC honors in 2018 and 2019, as well as being named Co-Defensive Player of the Year during his Junior season. Due to his senior year being cut short because of COVID-19, Arend finished his collegiate playing career at Nichols College, where he earned his Master of Science in Organizational Leadership and finished his career being named Third Team All-CCC Catcher. Arend had a successful high school career at St. John’s Preparatory School (Danvers, MA).
