Brett Brach joined the Hawks coaching staff this season as a volunteer assistant. He was a member of the Blue and White for three seasons, two of which resulted in conference championships and NCAA Regional appearances in 2007 and 2009.

Brach posted 14 career wins at MU, and was named NJCBA Pitcher of the Year in 2009 as well as earning a spot on the NJCBA All-Rookie Team in 2007. He ranks 10th all-time in career strikeouts, is tied for 14th all-time in wins and is tied for 10th all-time in saves. In his rookie year for MU he tossed two complete games and appeared in 18 games.

Brach was drafted by the Cleveland Indians in the 10th round of the 2009 MLB Draft and played six seasons in the minors from A ball to AAA ball expanding over nine different teams. He posted 36 wins and a 3.75 ERA as a professional. In his first year in the minors, Brach posted a 2.19 ERA for Mahoning Valley.

Brach’s older brother Brad, who is Monmouth’s all-time leader in strikeouts and wins, was drafted by the Padres in 2008 and now pitches for the Baltimore Orioles.
