Andrew Otterberg joined the Monmouth staff in the fall of 2018, and previously spent time at New Jersey City University where he was the hitting coach during the 2017 and 2018 seasons. While there,  the program broke records for most wins in back-to-back seasons with 39, and also captured the single-season record in wins with 21.

Under his tutelage, the Gothic Knights offense saw major improvements in every offensive category. In two years the team saw an increase in runs (49), extra base hits (49), RBI (48) and total bases (86). During the 2018 season, the team broke the school’s single season record for doubles with 91, as well as led the conference in home runs, slugging percentage and stolen bases.

Prior to NJCU, Otterberg spent three years at York College of Pennsylvania, primarily working with the outfielders and assisting with the hitters. Between the 2013-2015 seasons, York College had 8 All-CAC selections.

Otterberg graduated from Kutztown University in 2012 where he earned his Sport Management degree with a concentration in Coaching and Administration.

During his three-year tenure with the Golden Bears, Kutztown won 100 games including the 2010 Atlantic Region Championship which led to a trip to the Division II College World Series.
