2013 Heart of the Hawk Recipient 2013: Monmouth Baseball “Heart of the Hawk” Award recipient, recognizing the senior student-athlete for on-field, academic and community achievement, as well as dedication to the program… Hit .300 in 10 games, including one start at third base… Went 2-for-4 in his lone start of the season at Delaware (Mar. 3)… Went 1-for-1 with a base hit, a walk and a run scored vs. Saint Peter’s (Mar. 27).
2012: Saw action in 10 games, including one start… Contributed primarily as a pinch hitter and defensive replacement in the middle infield… Ripped a base hit in his only at bat Feb. 26 at Virginia… Was hit by a pitch against Bryant (May 6).
Before Monmouth: Played a season at Hofstra University... Transferred to Brookdale Community College where he batted .356 with two round trippers.
High School: Played shortstop for the Hornets under head coach John Mazzo... Guided squad to league and county championships... Tabbed as the 2007 rookie of the year... Batted .420 with 25 runs batted in to earn all-county accolades.
