Biography

Why Monmouth: "I decided to come to Monmouth because of the small campus size. It is very convenient not having to walk more than 5 to 10 minutes to get class, practice,or the dining hall. Also, the classroom sizes are small so there is great student teacher interaction. The best thing about Monmouth is being right on the ocean."

2013 (Senior): Finished second on the team in hits (43) and hit-by-pitch (4), third in runs scored (26) and fourth in batting average (.301) and on-base percentage (.379)… Started all 47 games at catcher… Had five doubles and 18 RBI’s… Was named to the All-NEC Tournament Team after hitting safely in all three games the Hawks played… Opened the season with a 2-for-3 effort with a walk, two RBI’s and a run scored… Went 2-for-3 with a run scored and an RBI vs. Delaware State (Feb. 24) and closed out the day with a 1-for-2 effort with a run scored and an RBI against Norfolk State (Feb. 24)… Went 1-for-3 with two walks, two runs scored and an RBI at George Mason (Mar. 9)… Went 5-for-8 with two RBI’s and two runs scored in a doubleheader at Bethune-Cookman (Mar. 19)… Had a single and two RBI’s in Game 2 at North Florida (Mar. 21)… Had a single and two runs scored in Game 1 vs. Bryant (Mar. 24)… Went 2-for-2 with a walk in Game 2 at Quinnipiac (Mar. 29)… Had a single, a walk, an RBI and two runs scored in Game 2 at Penn (April 3)… Went 4-for-7 with two doubles and an RBI in a doubleheader at Wagner (April 7)… Had three walks and two runs scored in a doubleheader vs. La Salle (April 9)… Had two hits in three-straight games against Central Connecticut (2, April 14) and Temple (April 17)… Went 3-for-4 with a double, two runs scored and two RBI’s at Mount St. Mary’s (April 20)… Went 2-for-3 with two RBI’s in Game 2 at LIU Brooklyn (April 27)… Went 2-for-3 with a double and a run scored in Game 2 vs. Saint Francis (April 28)… Had a hit and a run scored at Robert Morris (May 10) in the NEC Tournament. 

2012 (Junior): Batted .277, including a .309 average in league play, while starting all 43 games she played… Named Team MVP at the MU Student-Athlete Awards Banquet... Had a team-high 10 doubles, while also finishing among the team leaders in runs scored (24 – 3rd), hits (39 – 3rd), total bases (60 – 3rd), hit-by-pitch (2 – 4th), and home runs (3 – 5th)… Took part in a team-high eight fielding double plays… Threw out one attempted base stealer as a catcher… Had 11 multi-hit games, including a 4-for-5 effort against Delaware (Feb. 26)… Opened the season with a 2-for-3 effort with a double, two runs scored and four RBI’s against Norfolk State (Feb. 25)… Went 2-for-3 with a home run, two RBI’s and a run scored in the NEC opener against Sacred Heart (Mar. 24)… Followed with a 3-for-5, four RBI performance in a doubleheader against Quinnipiac (Mar. 25)… Went 2-for-3 with a home run and two RBI’s against Wagner (Apr. 6)… Went 4-for-7 with a home run, three runs scored and two RBI’s in a doubleheader sweep on the road at Fairleigh Dickinson (Apr. 14).

2011 (Sophomore): Finished third on the team with a .317 batting average (40-126)... Saw action in 41 games, including 40 starts... Slugged .429 with a .377 on-base percentage, both good for third on the team... Her 40 hits ranked second on the team...Roped six doubles, one triple and two home runs... Finished third on the team with 54 total bases... Went 4-for-4 with a double, two RBI and two runs scored in a 9-1 victory over Long Island (4/7)... Tripled in a 3-for-4 performance against Fairleigh Dickinson (4/15) ... Went 2-for-4 with a double and four RBI in Game 1 against Bryant (4/17), before again chipping in with a 2-for-4 performance in Game 2... Went 3-for-4 with two doubles and four RBI in a 13-7 victory over Rider (4/27).    

2010 (Freshman): Started all 48 contests at first base for Monmouth... Led the team and ranked fifth in the Northeast Conference, with 34 runs driven in... Tied for second on the team with 12 doubles... Ranked third on the team with a .325 batting average (50-154)... Scored 25 runs... Logged two triples and two home runs on the season... Slugged .468 and sported a .365 on-base average... Had a team-best .994 fielding percentage... Went 2-for-4 with two runs scored, two RBI and a double in her first collegiate game, a 9-4 win over Northern Colorado (3/5)...  Went 2-for-5 with two runs scored, three RBI and two doubles in MU's 12-10 win over La Salle (3/21)... Hit 3-for-4 with two runs scored and a run driven in during Monmouth's 11-1 win over Seton Hall (4/7)... Went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs scored and two RBI in the Hawks' 10-4 win over Lehigh (4/14)... Went a combined 7-for-8 with three runs scored, four RBI and a homer in MU's doubleheader split with Manhattan (4/27).

High School: Earned four varsity letters at Kiski Area High School in Vandergrift, Pa... Helped lead Coach Diane Haney's Cavaliers to three straight sectional championships... Led team in batting average for three years, earning All-Section honors all four seasons... Named team Most Valuable Player for two seasons... Holds the school record for most runs batted in for a single season... Also earned four varsity letters in basketball and volleyball, earning two All-Section team honors.

Born January 29, 1991 in Pittsburgh, Pa... Daughter of Jim and Andrea Weiser... Mother, Andrea, is a graduate of Indiana University of Pennsylvania... Current academic major is health studies.
