Biography

Quickly: Speedy, dependable outfielder... Tremendous athlete... Counted on for high on-base percentage and to be the table-setter for the offense... Threat on the bases... Played with the Edenton Steamers of the Coastal Plains League this summer... Played two summers with the New Jersey Colts of the ABCL, where he was a 2004 all-star and led the league with 35 stolen bases.

2006: Played in all 49 games, earning 47 starts in rightfield... Ranked fifth on the team in batting average... Led team and the NEC with 29 stolen bases... Tied for the team lead with 48 runs scored... Collected 51 hits, including 13 doubles and two triples... Recorded two 11-game hit streaks... Went 2-for-3 with an RBI at Houston (2/25)... Was 2-for-4 with two stolen bases versus St. Bonaventure (3/10)... Carded a 2-for-6 day, with two doubles against Navy (3/18)... Went 3-for-4 with three RBI and two runs at Navy (3/19)... Went 5-for-9, with four runs in weekend sweep of St. Francis (3/25-26)... Set season-highs with four hits, six runs and four RBI in MU's 35-1 win at Temple (3/29)... Tied an NCAA record with two triples in one inning in the win over Temple... Went 3-for-5 with two runs at Long Island (4/2)... Added two hits and three runs in a win at Princeton (4/4)... Was 2-for-4 in a win over Mount St. Mary's (4/14)... Carded a 4-for-9 weekend with six runs scored in sweep of FDU (4/23-24)... Collected two hits at CCSU (5/13).

Connecticut (2004): Started midway through season as a sophomore in centerfield... Earned first Big East start against Rutgers, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases... Followed with a 2-for-3 day against Notre Dame... Went 3-for-6 with four runs scored and two RBI versus Brown... Ended season ranked second on team in stolen bases.

Connecticut-Avery Point (2003): Played centerfield and batted leadoff... Hit .357 and set a school-record for stolen bases (46 in 37 games)... Named Region XXII All-New England first-team.

High School: Three-sport standout at Cedar Grove H.S... Named first-team all-conference, All-Group I and all-county all three seasons... Tabbed third-team all-state as a senior... Team won North Jersey state championship in 2000... Selected to play in the North/South All-Star Game as a senior... Hit .500 as a senior, as well as being successful on 50-of-51 stolen base attempts (school-record)... Career .460 hitter, with over 100 hits, runs and stolen bases in his career... Named Athlete of the Year for baseball... Earned three letters in football where he led Essex County in scoring as a senior... Posted 28 TDs in 2002... Finished career with 55 TDs... Had distinction of scoring five TDs in a game, five different ways; rushing, receiving, punt return, kickoff return and interception... Named NJ Gladiators Player of the Year in football... Holds 11 school records in football... Also earned two letters on the hardwood.
