Biography
Coach Gaitley on Martin: "Kev is an experienced veteran on a very young team. She will definitely help us as we bring many newcomers into the program this season."
Junior (2008-09): Appeared in six games for the Hawks... Grabbed a rebound in a victory over Howard (12/29)... Saw two minutes of playing time against Fairleigh Dickinson (1/19)... Played a season-high seven minutes against Saint Francis [Pa.] (2/2)... Also saw action against Bryant (2/9)... Blocked a shot against Wagner (2/28).
Sophomore (2007-08): Appeared in 10 games for the Blue and White... Recorded three blocks and six rebounds for the season... Grabbed an offensive and a defensive board while gaining an assist and hitting her only shot in her first game of the season at Lafayette (11/12)... Blocked two shots in three minutes of playing time against Princeton (1/2)... Scored two points in her final game of the season in the victory over Central Connecticut State (1/21).
Freshman (2006-07): Saw action in four games for the Hawks as a freshman... Played a career high five minutes in a win over conference-rival Wagner (1/8)... Played three minutes in the season opener against Rice (11/10)... Pulled down first defensive rebound of career in a win over St. Francis [N.Y.] (2/3).
HIGH SCHOOL: Lettered in basketball and track and field at Oil City Senior High School... Named an All-Conference performer her sophomore and junior seasons... Played only two and a half games her senior season before a knee injury forced her out of action... Averaged in double figure scoring all four years to go along with 8.7 rebounds and 2.8 assists per game... Named two-time Holiday Tournament MVP... Ranked #11 among the "Western Pennsylavania Top 50 Seniors"...Also an All-Conference performer in the high jump and 4x4 relay team and was named Arby’s Scholar-Athlete of the Year in track and field... Member of the National Honor Society.
