CANTON, Mass. – The Monmouth University women's golf team opened the 2026-27 season with an 11th-place finish at the Red Bandanna Invitational, hosted by Boston College at Blue Hill Country Club Monday and Tuesday.
 
The Hawks carded 12 birdies over the 54-hole event, finishing 11th in the 15-team field and shooting 330-321-324 for a 975 (+111) total score. This year marked Monmouth's sixth all-time appearance at the Red Bandanna Invitational.
 
Alli Engart led the Hawks individually, tying for 42nd after closing the tournament with a 2-over-par 74. Engart's final-round score was tied for the sixth-best Round 3 score in the field and moved her up 14 spots on the individual leaderboard.
 
Engart also posted one of Monmouth's two best nine-hole stretches of the tournament, shooting an even-par 36 over the front nine in the final round. Addison Butler matched that mark in the second round, carding an even 36 over the opening nine holes.
 
Butler recorded three birdies during the tournament and now has 11 career birdies at Blue Hill Country Club. Dannah Smith (T56), Delaney Nadeau (T61) and Hallie Brown (T77) rounded out the participation in the season opener for the Hawks.
