RICHMOND, Va. – Monmouth women's Senior midfielder

Grace Notarfrancesco were tabbed to the All-CAA Preseason squad, as announced by the conference Monday afternoon.
Emily De Almeida and
Ashley Lavrich were named as preseason honorable mentions, while the team was picked to finish second in the CAA North Division. The conference's preseason poll and team were voted on by the 12 CAA head coaches.
Messer earns her first-career preseason recognition after landing on the All-CAA First Team following the 2025 campaign. The Jackson, N.J., native scored three goals last season out of the Monmouth midfield, tallying game-winning goals in back-to-back games against Drexel and Hofstra.
In her three years in West Long Branch, Messer has appeared in 49 career games and has nine career points.
Notarfrancesco has been a mainstay of the Monmouth defense for the past two seasons, starting all 38 of the team's games since she arrived on campus. The 2025 All-CAA Second Teamer was second on the team in minutes last season, playing all 90 minutes in 14 games and helping lead a defensive unit that posted seven shutouts.
This is the Mechanicsburg, Pa., native's second straight season appearing on the conference's all-preseason squad.
Senior midfielder
Emily De Almeida lands as a CAA Preseason Honorable Mention after starting all 18 games last season, scoring three goals and tallying the game-winning score against Towson on Oct. 12. Forward
Ashley Lavrich joins De Almeida as an honorable mention after scoring three goals and dishing a team-best six assists a season ago. The Birdsboro, Pa., product was the 2024 CAA Rookie of the Year and was selected to the 2025 All-CAA Third Team.
After advancing to the CAA Championship game a season ago, Stony Brook was picked atop the North Division, while the conference's defending champion Elon was selected first in the South Division, garnering eight-of-12 first place votes. The full preseason polls and awards are below.
