WEST LONG BRANCH, N.J. – Eight home matches highlight the 2026 Monmouth University men's soccer schedule released by head coach Robert McCourt.
 
McCourt and the Hawks are preparing for their fifth season in the Coastal Athletic Association (CAA) this fall. The Hawks, who are coming off their third straight appearance in the CAA Tournament, return three of their top five scorers from a year ago and starting goalkeeper, Herman Johnsen.
 
"We are really excited about this season's schedule," said McCourt. The nonconference schedule is very challenging. The CAA part of our season is always filled with big time matches. I'm looking forward to getting the players in for preseason."
 
Monmouth opens its 2026 campaign with back-to-back home matches. 
 
The season gets underway on Aug. 20 as Iona comes to Hesse Field. The Hawks have won two of the last three against their former conference opponents.
 
CAA play kicks off Aug. 29 as Monmouth welcomes Drexel to West Long Branch. The Hawks faired well against the Dragons last season, earning a road win and a tie at home. Monmouth then hits the road for the first time in 2026 on Sept. 1 when it visits Penn. The last time the two teams met in 2024, the Hawks secured a 1-0 win over the then No. 12 Quakers.
 
Monmouth returns home to host La Salle Sept. 6, looking to extend its winning streak to three against the Explorers.
 
A pair of tough CAA contests await as the Hawks host Hofstra Sept. 12 before visiting Northeastern Sept. 19. Monmouth has won two of the last three against Hofstra. 
 
The Hawks return home to host Rutgers-Newark Sept. 22 before hitting the road to face Stony Brook Sept. 26. The Hawks battled the Seawolves last year in the CAA Tournament.
 
September closes out with a home match against Albany (Sept. 29). It will be the first meeting between the Hawks and Great Danes since 2014.
 
Monmouth heads to St. John's on October 6. The Red Storm are coming off an appearance in the 2025 NCAA Tournament.
 
The Hawks will sandwich home games against Northeastern (Oct. 10) and Stony Brook (Oct. 24) around a road trip to Hofstra (Oct. 17).
 
The regular season concludes with road trips to Temple on October 27 and Drexel Oct. 31.
 
The top three teams in the CAA North Division will qualify for the CAA Tournament which begins Nov. 5.
