WEST LONG BRANCH, N.J. – Monmouth University women's rowing standouts
Anna Ciardiello and
Syrah Mills have been named to the 2026 For Stars Network (FSN) Spring Athlete Watchlist for Division I Women's Rowing.Â
Â
Ciardiello and Mills are among 196 athletes from 94 Division I programs recognized for their rising talent and contributions to their teams.
The FSN Watchlist highlights athletes based on their race results, erg times, skill development, and overall impact on their teams, as well as coach recommendations.
"
Anna Ciardiello came to Monmouth from Mercer Junior Rowing Club with an impressive willingness to learn," said Monmouth head coach
Olivia Staff. "What stood out right away is how quickly she's adapted to the college training environment: she's coachable, consistent, and not afraid of hard work. She's already showing the kind of boat-moving ability and composure that translate well at this level, and we expect her trajectory to keep climbing as she gains more race experience."
Â
"
Syrah Mills brings an impressive blend of power and maturity from St. Catharine's Rowing Club," said Staff. "For a freshman, she carries herself like someone who has been in this environment before. Her teammates already rely on her steadiness, drive, and composure during training, and we're excited to see the impact she can have as our program continues to grow. Her upside as a top contributor is enormous, and we're all looking forward to what she can accomplish over the next few years."
Ciardiello, Mills and the Hawks will travel to Norfolk, VA for their annual spring training trip in late March.
