WEST LONG BRANCH, N.J. – Monmouth University Football enters Week 4 of the FCS season ranked No. 14 and No. 16 in the AFCA Coaches and Stats Perform FCS Top 25 Polls, respectively.
 
The Hawks moved up four spots in the AFCA rankings and five spots in the Stats Perform FCS poll following their 51-33 home win over No. 12/11 Villanova on Saturday. The victory was the eighth all-time for MU versus a ranked opponent, as the Hawks also improved to 12-8 when nationally ranked themselves in their program history.
 
Monmouth is one of three schools in the Coastal Athletic Association (CAA) that in appear inside the top 25 rankings, joining No. 7/6 Rhode Island and Villanova, who dropped to No. 22/20 after the setback. New Hampshire fell outside of both polls following a loss at Dartmouth but is receiving votes.
 
The Hawks enter their bye week with a 1-0 CAA record and are 3-1 overall. Monmouth plays next at home versus Delaware State on Saturday, October 4. Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m. and the game will be broadcast live on FloCollege.
