Cross Country Announces 2025 Fall Event Schedule

The Hawks will compete in six meets across three states

July 28, 2025

WEST LONG BRANCH, N.J. – Monmouth Men's and Women's Cross Country Head Coach Damon Godfrey announced the teams' 2025 fall event schedule on Wednesday.

The Hawks will compete in six events in three states before hosting the CAA Championships on Friday, October 31, in Lakewood, N.J.

"We are looking forward to the 2025 cross country season with great excitement," said Godfrey. "Once again, we've put together a highly competitive schedule designed to challenge both our men's and women's teams throughout the fall."

The season kicks off on August 29 in Ambler, Pa., at the Temple Owl Invite, marking the second-straight year the Hawks will open their campaign at Temple's annual run. The following week, the squad heads to Princeton, N.J., for the Jersey Jam on September 5.

On September 9, Monmouth travels to State College, Pa., for the Spiked Shoe Classic, having also competed in Penn State's invitational in last season.

After three weeks off, the season resumes on October 3 at the Paul Short Run in Lehigh, Pa., another repeat event from 2024. After Lehigh's annual run, Monmouth will compete at either the Princeton Fall Classic or the IC4A Championships on October 17, in the final event before the CAA Championships.

Any athletes who qualify will run at the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regionals back in Lehigh on November 14.

Godfrey continued, "This schedule will provide the tests we need to prepare for the championship portion of the season, where we aim to be our very best."
