WEST LONG BRANCH, NJ – Seven home matches highlight the 2025 Monmouth University men's soccer schedule released by head coach
Robert McCourt.Â
Â
The Hawks are coming off a 2025 season in which they reached the Coastal Athletic Association (CAA) Tournament and went undefeated at home with two wins over nationally ranked opponents.Â
Â
This fall slate will look a little different as the CAA is split into a North and South division and the Hawks will face each of the North opponents in a home and away series (Northeastern, Hofstra, Drexel, Stony Brook). The nonconference slate will pit Monmouth against squads from the Big 10, Big East and MAAC.
Â
"We are excited about the 2025 season schedule," said McCourt. "Our preseason, nonconference and CAA games all will bring difficult challenges. The new CAA North and South format will be a change to the conference games. We are excited to get started."
Â
The 2025 campaign gets underway on August 21 as the Hawks play host to New Haven. It will be the first ever meeting between the two squads.Â
Â
The Hawks hit the road for the first time as they visit Fairfield on August 25. Monmouth picked up a 4-0 win over its former MAAC rival last season.
Â
CAA play gets an early start as Stony Brook visits Hesse Field on the Great Lawn on August 30.Â
Â
September begins with a trip to Iona on Sept. 2. The Hawks and Gaels played to a 1-1 tie last season.Â
Â
The Hawks head to Drexel on Sept. 6 before returning home to host Northeastern on Sept. 13.Â
Â
Monmouth steps out of conference on Sept. 16 to visit La Salle before traveling to Hofstra on Sept. 20. The Hawks secured a 2-1 win over the Pride last season when Hofstra was ranked No. 12 in the country.
Â
September ends with a pair of nonconference games. The Hawks play host to Temple on Sept. 26 before visiting Rutgers on Sept. 30. Monmouth secured a 2-0 win over Temple last season and will be facing Rutgers for the first time since 2015.
Â
The Hawks host Drexel on Oct. 4 before visiting Northeastern (Oct. 11) and Stony Brook (Oct. 18).
Â
Monmouth returns home for its final two regular season games against St. John's (Oct. 21) and Hofstra (Oct. 26).Â
Â
The top three teams in the CAA North and South will qualify for the CAA Championship.Â
