Monmouth Adds Buffalo Transfer Forward Alexis Davis

April 18, 2025

WEST LONG BRANCH, N.J. – New Jersey native Alexis Davis has officially joined the Monmouth University Women's Basketball team for the 2025-26 season, Head Coach Cait Wetmore announced Friday.

Davis, a 6'0" hybrid forward, spent the previous two seasons at the University at Buffalo where she started in 31 of her 62 appearances where she averaged 7.1 points and 5.8 rebounds per contest. Her 6.3 rebounds per game as a freshman in 2023-24 ranked first on the Bulls and 10th in the Mid-American Conference (MAC). During her two years at Buffalo, she also added 34 assists, 34 steals and 20 blocks.

"Alexis plays with an intensity and physicality that will elevate us," Wetmore said. "She has a real nose for the ball and is a tremendous rebounder. We are looking forward to her contributing in a variety of ways for Monmouth on both ends of the floor."

Davis is a 2023 graduate of Woodbury High School, where she was the founder of the 2,000 career points/1,000 career rebounds club. She finished her career as Woodbury's all-time leading scorer with 2,145 points and recorded a double-double in 79 of her 86 career games played. As a senior, she was named the Colonial Conference Player of the Year and was an All-Group 1 First Team selection after averaging a remarkable 25.5 points and 20.2 rebounds per game, while adding 1.8 assists, 1.5 steals and 1.4 blocks per contest.
