Stony Brook, NY – Monmouth University Men's Lacrosse got three goals apiece from
Ty Caffarelli and
Sean Ketchen, but fell to Stony Brook University on Saturday afternoon, 13-9.
Monmouth led 4-3 after one, with Caffarelli scoring twice in the opening 15 minutes. MU followed that with a three-goal second, two from Ketchen and another from Caffarelli with three seconds to go in the half to take a 7-5 advantage to the break.
Monmouth scored the first two of the third quarter, including Ketchen's third of the game, to take a 9-5 lead. The home team closed the gap to 9-8 at the end of three, and scored all five in the fourth to win, 13-9.

-Caffarelli scored his third straight hat trick, and sixth in the last seven games.
