Virginia Beach, VA -Â Monmouth rose to the top of the men's track & field team standings on Wednesday at the Coastal Athletic Association Indoor Championships.
With five events scored, the first-place Hawks have 53 points with Northeastern only one-half point off the pace. William & Mary is third after Day 1 with 24 points.

Ahmad Brock and pole vaulter
Dalton Yeust winning their signature events.
Led by Brock's victory, the Hawks picked up 24 points in the long jump. Heptathlete
David Strong leapt to a third-place finish in the event while Aaron Brooks and
Jacob Brokaw earned fourth and sixth-place points, respectively.
Jan Volkmar was the runner-up to Yeust in the pole vault. They both cleared the same winning height, but the latter took the title by virtue of fewer earlier misses.
Monmouth's distance medley relay finished in 10:04.99 to capture second place. The quartet was comprised of
Seb Reed,
Aiden Baldelli,
Luke Riley and
Gavin Rossi.
Weight thrower
AJ Bailor accounted for 3 points by taking sixth place. He'll look for more when contesting the shot put on Thursday.
