RICHMOND, VA ­– Five Monmouth University Athletics programs have earned 2023-24 Coastal Athletic Association (CAA) Team Academic Excellence Awards, the league announced Tuesday afternoon.

Field Hockey, Men's Golf, Women's Golf, Men's Soccer, and Men's Tennis took home the yearly CAA award after the school's second season in the conference. Field hockey and women's golf were both honored for the second straight season.
 
Out of 13 different CAA schools that were represented on the list, Monmouth led the way with five awards, with each team finishing with a GPA of 3.5 or higher for the school year.

The Team Academic Excellence Award recognizes the institution with the highest collective grade point average in all 22 sports sponsored by the CAA. The team GPA is a calculation of the grade point average of each student-athlete who appeared on an institution's roster throughout the final day of their respective championship seasons during the 2023-24 academic year.
