Nine Monmouth Hawks Earn CSC Academic All-District Honors

WEST LONG BRANCH, N.J. – College Sports Communicators (CSC) announced its 2024 Academic All-District honorees for men's and women's track and field/cross country, and Monmouth had nine student-athletes represented on the list.

Chris Bagnell, Taylor Boorse, Connor Bennett, David Strong, and Jan Volkmar were the five representing the Hawks on the men's team, while Veronica Chainov, Hannah Birdsall, Isabella Leak, and Ashley Navarro each made the women's team.

To be eligible for the Academic All-District team, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) at his/her current institution. Student-athletes must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically. Eligible nominees must have ranked inside the top-50 regionally for their individual event.
 
The 2024 Academic All-District® Men's and Women's Track and Field/Cross Country teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the track and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes track and field/cross country honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
