CHERRY HILL, N.J.  – For the first time in program history the Monmouth University women's rowing team had three boats compete in the 2024 CAA Championships, hosted this year on the Cooper River.

The Hawks, in their second year of competition, had entries in the varsity eight, 2nd varsity eight and varsity four races. All three crews posted faster times during Saturday's final races compared to their time trial performances on Friday afternoon. The varsity eight improved by 18 seconds, the 2nd varsity eight had a 21 second improvement and the varsity four was 20 seconds ahead of its previous time.

Monmouth freshman Addison Cohen was named All-CAA following the two-day event. Cohen competed in the third seat of the varsity eight boat.

Northeastern finished on top of the team standings leader board, ahead of UC San Diego, Drexel, UConn, Delaware, Villanova, Eastern Michigan and Monmouth.

"Last season we brought nine athletes to the CAA Championship, and we did not race in any of the NCAA point scoring events. This year, in year two of the program, we raced a full squad in all three NCAA categories. Everyone on this team is aware of the challenges that we signed up for.
