PHILADELPHIA  – The Monmouth University men's tennis team dropped a tightly contested 4-3 decision at Temple on Tuesday at the Hamlin Tennis Courts.

The Hawks secured the doubles point with wins at No. 1 by Mateo Bivol and Alex Martinez Sanz as well as No. 3 by Gabriel Busato and Diego Laporta. Busato and Bivol won their singles matches as Bivol earned his tenth consecutive singles win at No. 1, but the Hawks were unable to find the decisive point in singles action.

The loss snaps Monmouth's three match win streak and drops the team to 15-4 this season.
