Brock Scores Hat Trick in Loss at Drexel

PHILADELPHIA – The Monmouth University women's lacrosse team fell to Drexel by a final score of 17-7 on Saturday afternoon at Vidas Field.

The Dragons, who remained unbeaten in the CAA, struck early with the game's first three goals and held a 5-1 lead after the first 15 minutes. Mya Brock and Caroline Brennan each scored for Monmouth on free position opportunities in the opening half, but Drexel controlled the action and held an 11-2 advantage at halftime.

Monmouth came out of intermission with three consecutive goals to pull within six, but Drexel answered with a pair of goals late in the third to regain the momentum. Brock finished the day with a hat trick while Brennan and Danielle McNeely each scored twice.

Game Notes
Monmouth moved to 5-7 on the season and 1-4 in CAA play.
The Hawks have three conference games remaining this season.
Drexel leads the all-time series against the Hawks 7-3, including five consecutive wins.
