HEMPSTEAD, N.Y. – Madison Mills picked up a win in doubles and singles to lead the Monmouth University women's tennis team in a 6-1 loss at Hofstra University on Sunday afternoon.
 
Mills teamed with Nitika Girish to earn a 6-0 win at first doubles over Kaitlyn Ferguson and Dianela Rodriguez.
 
Mills secured a point for the Hawks with her win at sixth singles. She defeated Ava Veneziano, 6-1, 6-3.
 
In other action, Lenien Jamir was locked in a tight battle at fourth singles. Jamir won the first set and fell in a tiebreaker in the second set. She then lost a 10-8 heartbreaker to Soyer to fall in the match.
