Monmouth Falls in Series Finale at College of Charleston

CHARLESTON, S.C. – College of Charleston completed a sweep of the season series with an 18-0 win over the Monmouth University baseball team in Coastal Athletic Association (CAA) action on Sunday.
 
The Cougars took an early lead in this one with a pair of RBI singles and a bases loaded walk in the second. 
 
The home team added two runs in the third, two in the fifth and three in the sixth to take a 10-0 advantage. 
 
A pair of home runs from Cole Mathis in the seventh inning capped the win. 

NOTES
- College of Charleston moves to 6-0 all-time against the Hawks.  
- Chris Andrews walked and extended his on base streak to seven straight games.
- Phil Stahl extended his on-base streak to 13 straight games after a walk.
- Joey Ventresca had a double and stretched his hit streak to three straight games. 
- Joey DeMucci has hit in back-to-back games. 

NUMBERS CRUNCH
- College of Charleston out hit the Hawks, 17-2.  
- Connor Campbell earned the win for College of Charleston as he went seven innings and gave up two hits while striking out five.
- Kevin Opanel suffered the loss for the Hawks as he gave up five runs on six hits in 3.2 innings of action.
