WEST LONG BRANCH, N.J. – A balanced offensive effort combined with critical stops on the defensive end paved the way for a 14-13 victory for the Monmouth University women's lacrosse team against William & Mary on Sunday afternoon at Kessler Stadium.

Six different Hawks turned in multi-goal performances, including hat tricks by Mya Brock and Maddie Flynn, while goalie Katie Sullivan matched her career high with 17 saves.

The Hawks held on as Sullivan made the last of her 17 saves with 25 seconds remaining to seal Monmouth's first CAA win of the year.

Game Notes and Quotes
"We've been talking all season about how we're doing all the right things off the field and in the locker room. There's really a family environment here with our team, but we wanted to elevate the lacrosse aspect of it and figure out a way to win. I thought today they sort of gutted it out, it wasn't a pretty 60 minutes, but as a family we figured out how to get the victory."
- Head Coach Jordan Trautman
