Austin Denlinger had a pair of hits and an RBI to lead the Monmouth University baseball team in a 10-1 loss to Mercer University on Sunday afternoon.Â

Mercer hit three home runs in the first four innings and opened up a 6-0 lead in the game. Two of the home runs came off the bat of Parker Lester.Â

Monmouth got a run back in the top of the fifth. With two outs,
Casey Caufield had an infield single to short. Caufield came around to score on Denlinger's triple to right center.Â

The Bears scored four more runs, including three in the seventh to close out the 10-1 win.
