WEST LONG BRANCH, NJ – Monmouth University Men's Basketball tied a program record with its 13
th straight home win, as the Hawks put four in double figures in a Senior Day victory over North Carolina A&T Saturday, 83-67.

Monmouth gradually built a second half lead, using a 7-0 run that included an
Abdi Bashir Jr. triple to go up 21, and
Jaret Valencia knocked in a three at 5:39 to keep that lead. MU won the second half and took a 13
th straight home victory, 83-67.

MU opened the game on an 8-0 run, with
Jack Holmstrom hitting two threes in the opening minute to spark the Blue and White. The Aggies answered with a 12-0 run, leading by as many as six, but Monmouth came back with their own 12-0 push to restore the lead. Up one with 4:37 to go in the half, Monmouth scored 14 of the next 18 points to lead by 11 before Rice capped the period with a banked-in buzzer-beating three to make it 41-30 at the intermission.
