WEST LONG BRANCH, N.J. — Monmouth University, in partnership with the Coastal Athletic Association, has announced the 2025 Monmouth Hawks football schedule. The 12-game slate includes five home contests at Kessler Stadium, an FBS opponent, and key games with conference rivals.
The Hawks open the season on Saturday, Aug. 30, with a road game against Colgate in Hamilton, New York. They continue their non-conference road stretch with games against Fordham on Sept. 6 in New York City and FBS opponent Charlotte on Sept. 13 in North Carolina.
Monmouth will host Villanova, an FCS playoff team this past season, in its home opener on Sept. 20 at Kessler Stadium, marking an early test in conference play. Other home games include matchups with Delaware State (Oct. 4), Stony Brook (Oct. 18), New Hampshire (Nov. 8) and UAlbany (Nov. 22).
On the road, the Hawks face Towson on Oct. 11 and travel to Hampton on Oct. 25. They will also visit Bryant on Nov. 1 before wrapping up their away schedule against North Carolina A&T on Nov. 15 in Greensboro, N.C.
The 2025 schedule highlights a mix of regional rivalries and national competition as Monmouth continues to compete in one of the strongest FCS conferences. The Hawks will return a majority of their offensive starters from their record-setting 2024 campaign, including quarterback
Derek Robertson, who was recently named the CAA Offensive Player of the Year.
