Notes and Quotes
"We knew it was going to take every minute and every second of that game playing as hard as we could to pull it out, and I can't give our guys enough credit because that is exactly what they did. They played extremely hard, they didn't let any of the success Villanova had get in their heads, they were completely focused on what they had to do. That's a really good football team out there, you have to give Villanova a lot of credit, they are well coached and they do a great job. To come from where we have been, losing three tight games in a row and come back and beat the number eight team in the country, I think it says a lot about the makeup and the character of these guys up here and the guys in the locker room, they did an outstanding job."
Head Coach Kevin Callahan
"End the game. We wanted the ball in our hands at the end of the game, it's that simple. We have come up short a couple times in those situations this season and we weren't going to let it happen again. We wanted to end the game with the football and the running backs, the offensive line,
TJ Speight's play at the end, it was an unbelievable drive to end the game."
