MONMOUTH FOOTBALL ANNOUNCES 2023 SEASON CAPTAINS

WEST LONG BRANCH, NJ- Monmouth University head football coach Kevin Callahan has announced that student-athletes Greg Anderson (Carlstadt, NJ/Becton Regional), Dymere Miller (Coatesville, PA/Coatesville/Salisbury School), Eddie Morales III (Farmingdale, NJ/Howell), Ryan Moran (Ocean, NJ/Ocean) and Tyler Williams (Pine Bush, NY/Don Bosco) have been named team captains for the 2023 season.
 
"The team could not have selected a better group to lead this year's team," said Callahan. "Eddie Morales, Ryan Moran, Tyler Williams, Dymere Miller, and Greg Anderson are not only very good football players, they are quality men who represent what the Monmouth Football program is all about. Each of them has played a key role in the success of our team over the last several years. Collectively, they are great people, outstanding players, and most of all, great people. Their leadership will be a valuable asset to this year's team."
 
Anderson, an All-CAA selection a season ago, has appeared 34 career games for the Blue & White, starting the last 16 contests. He anchored the top scoring offense in the CAA a season ago and was recently selected to the East-West Shrine Bowl 1000 watch list. Miller is one of the most explosive wide receivers in Division I football, finishing with 820 yards and seven touchdowns in nine games last season. The preseason All-CAA selection caught 55 passes a season ago to give him 78 in his career.
 
Moran started all 11 games at linebacker last season with 50 tackles. He was honored with the Ray Michelli Coaches Award at the end of the season. Morales III, a captain a season ago, is entering his sixth season with the Hawks after suffering a season-ending injury a season ago. The versatile defensive back has 139 tackles and six interceptions in 41 games played for the Blue & White.
 
Williams started every game at center a season ago, leading the way for the CAA's top scoring offense and the nation's leading rusher. Williams is a multiple-time Commissioner's Academic Honor Roll recipient and a two-time Chi Alpha Sigma Honor Society honoree.
