STONY BROOK, NY – In the final game of the 2023 season, the Monmouth University softball team fell to the Stony Brook Seawolves by a final score of 9-1 in six innings.
Senior right-hander
Kylie Gletow made her 62
nd career start for the Blue & White on Saturday. She went 3.0 innings before handing the ball over to fellow senior
Kelly Toomey, who went 2.2 innings, as the Seawolves hit the eight-run rule in the bottom of the sixth.
Offensively, senior
Riley Riendeau (1-for-2, 2B) scored the lone run for the Hawks on a steal of home.
Mackenzie Bloss and
Devin Coia each delivered a hit for Monmouth – both being singles.
