WEST LONG BRANCH, NJ – The Monmouth University men's tennis team came from behind to defeat Hofstra by a final score of 4-1 on Saturday afternoon at the Outdoor Tennis Complex.
The visitors won the double point to take an early lead before Monmouth earned four consecutive singles points in a competitive match. Monmouth earned three set wins at No. 1 and No. 3 with
Niels Van Noord and
Victor Castro earning points.
Dmitry Bezborodov earned a 7-5, 6-4 win at No. 2 singles, while
Christof Zeiler claimed a straight set win at No. 5.
Monmouth improved to 14-4 overall and 2-1 in the CAA and won its eighth straight match.
