TOWSON, MD – Monmouth University Baseball dropped its series opener to Towson University Friday, 18-5.
Eric Sabato and
Austin Denlinger had two hits apiece for MU in the contest.
The Tigers led 6-0 after four thanks to a three-run opening inning and two more in the second. Towson opened things up in the later innings, scoring seven in the seventh to lead 17-1. The Hawks plated four in the eighth including a two-run triple by
Harry Padden, ultimately falling 18-5.
