BETHLEHEM, PA – Lehigh defeated the Monmouth University softball team by a final score of 2-0 Wednesday at Leadership Park in Bethlehem, PA.
Sophomore
Billie Kerwood threw a complete game striking out seven Lehigh hitters and allowing as many hits, all while throwing her second-highest number of pitches with 105. Both Mountain Hawks runs came via singles, with the first coming in the fourth inning and the insurance run added in the sixth.
Emily Churchill was the lone Hawk to reach base on the afternoon when she was hit by a pitch in the third inning. Monmouth falls to 3-16 on the season, while Lehigh improves to an impressive 19-6.
