WEST LONG BRANCH, NJ – The Monmouth University women's tennis team suffered a tough 7-0 loss to the University of Delaware Sunday afternoon. It was the program's first ever Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) match. 
 
"I thought the team put up a solid fight against a talented Delaware squad today," said head coach Patrice Murray.
 
The Hawks battled Lana Brezanin and Jordyn Pax fell in a tough 6-4 decision to Isabella Montana and Alina Vasilenko. 
 
Monmouth's closest match in singles came at fourth singles as Brezanin battled in a 6-2, 6-3 loss.
