STATEN ISLAND, NY – The Monmouth University track and field squads competed in the Garden State Track Club Invitational in Staten Island on Friday, their final meet before the CAA Indoor Championships next week.
LeConte Stover won the men's 60m hurdles with a time of 8.55, with teammates
Evan Rankl and
Brad Cantoral coming in second and third.
Zyon Howell finished in first place in the women's 60m at 7.95 seconds, while
Alexander Kislenko won the men's event with a time of 6.93. Kislenko also finished second in the 200m with a time of 22.27.
Jenny Tavares had a top-3 finish in the women's mile with a time of 5:16.60, and
Nico Grilli took the win on the men's side at 4:14.11.
Grace Stephens (3.32m, first place),
Mue Carroll (3.07m, second place), and
Mary Tuley (2.66m, third place) made it a clean sweep for the Hawks in the women's pole vault event.
Dalton Yeust re-broke his school record in men's pole vault with a clearance of 4.95m. Yeust previously held the record at 4.92m, a mark he set at the Monmouth Winter Classic on January 29, 2023.
