BOSTON, MA – Klemen Vuga led Monmouth University Men's Basketball with 23 points, but the Hawks were topped by Northeastern University Thursday night at Matthews Arena, 77-62.

Vuga had 16 of his points in the second half, including knocking home a three and converting an and one. MU trimmed it to 16 but Northeastern was able to close out the victory despite the Hawks ending the game on a 9-0 run.

Monmouth led by four in the early stages after
Jack Collins hit a jumper followed by by a three to make it 12-8 MU. An 11-0 Huskies run made it a seven-point lead, but
Jarvis Vaughan's clean-up at the rim trimmed it to four again. In a six-point game, Northeastern used a 19-1 run to ultimately take a 44-22 lead into the locker room.
