Â
Friedman gave Monmouth a 1-0 advantage as he carried a ball into the zone and rifled off a shot from several yards out. Friedman's shot was perfectly placed into the left corner of the net for the tally at 14:23.
Â
Penn took the final four shots of the period, but the shots went wide before a late save from
Eryk Dymora sent Monmouth into the half with a 1-0 advantage.
Â
The two sides traded shots to start the second half. Penn was able to get the equalizer at 64:38 from Michael Hewes.
Â
The Hawks had several chances down the stretch, including a shot from
Chris Morandi that required a save from Nick Christoffersen, but were unable to connect.Â
Â
Dymora made a nice stop in the final two minutes and the contest ended in a 1-1 tie.

NOTES AND QUOTES
"Tonight was a good game. I felt our possession was good for long periods of the game. Then we showed maturity weathering some of the opposition's threats. We also created some good chances. We are excited to get back on Hesse Field after these last two games on the road."
