Opening Tip
• Winners of two straight games, the Hawks hit the road to visit Northeastern.
• This is the second meeting of the season between the two squads. The Hawks defeated Northeastern in its first ever CAA game on Dec. 30.

SEEING DOUBLE
Ariana Vanderhoop posted 11 points and 10 rebounds for her second double-double in the last three games and third of her career. Vanderhoop was particularly effective on the glass in the second half as eight of her 10 boards came after the break. She leads the team in double-doubles this season (Lucy Thomas and Belle Kranbuhl - one each).
CLEANING THE GLASS
MU dominated the rebounding battle against Hampton on Friday night, 47-27. It was the Hawks' third highest rebounding total of the season. Nine out of 10 Monmouth players grabbed at least one rebound in the game. Belle Kranbuhl led the Hawks with 11 boards while Vanderhoop added 10.Â
Monmouth is outrebounding its opponents by a +2.9 margin this season, which is third in the CAA. The Hawks have outrebounded their opponents in thirteen games this season. Kranbuhl is averaging a team-high 7.0 rebounds per game while Lucy Thomas is adding 5.3 rebounds per game. Six Hawks have grabbed 40 or more rebounds so far this season.Â
WE'LL TAKE THE CHARITY
Monmouth took advantage of its chances from the foul line on Friday night. The Hawks were an impressive 20-of-27 from the charity stripe while holding Hampton to just nine chances total. Lucy Thomas was a perfect 6-for-6 from the line in that game while Kaci Donovan went 6-for-8.
Monmouth's 20 made free throws were a season-high and the most by a Hawk squad since the 2019-20 squad hit 21 against Iona. The Hawks are 4-4 this season when they make 10 or more free throws in a game.Â
BACK IN MY HOODÂ
Sunday's game is a homecoming for junior Ariana Vanderhoop. Vanderhoop grew up in Boston and attended Cathedral High School which is just a mile from Northeastern's campus.Â
THREE-POINT THREATÂ
Jen Louro has proven to be a three-point threat throughout her MU career. The guard knocked down a pair of triples including the 99th three-pointer of her career on Friday night against Hampton. She needs one more triple to become the 14th player in school history to make at least 100 three-pointers in her career. Louro needs nine more three-pointers to move into a tie with Gabby Singer for 13th place on the list at Monmouth.Â
NOT IN MY HOUSEÂ
MU has found success blocking the basketball this season. The Hawks recorded four blocks in Friday's win over Hampton. Lucy Thomas led Monmouth with a pair of rejections in the game while Belle Kranbuhl and Antonia Panayides each had one block.Â
The Hawks have 86 blocks and are averaging 4.30 blocks per game. That ranks first in the CAA this season. The Hawks are 9-5 this season when they record four or more blocks in a game. They had a season-high nine blocks in the win over NJIT and matched that mark against College of Charleston. MU's efforts have been led by Kranbuhl, who has 41 blocks so far this year, which ranks 17th nationally. Her 2.1 blocks per game is among the top three in the CAA this season. Kranbuhl is one of ten Hawks to record at least one block this season.
MISS ASSIST
Bri Tinsley and Ariana Vanderhoop each distributed five assists in Friday's win over Hampton. The Hawks have had at least one player with four or more assists in 17 of 20 games.
Monmouth comes into Sunday averaging 13.10 assists per game, which ranks fifth in the CAA. The Hawks have recorded 15 or more assists in nine games this year. Bri Tinsley leads the Hawks while averaging 4.0 assists per game. She is tied for fourth in the CAA in that category.Â
SCOUTING THE HUSKIESÂ
Northeastern had a two-game win streak snapped with a loss to Towson on Friday night. Derin Erdogan led the Huskies with 21 points in that contest. Erodgan paces Northeastern on the year with 14.4 points per game and 61 assists. .Â
