Jaden Shirden (West Haven, CT) has been named Colonial Athletic Association Co-Offensive Player of the Week for his role in helping the Hawks upset No. 9/10 Villanova last Saturday.

Jaden Shirden recorded his third straight game over 100-yards rushing and his second game of 200+ yards after running for 211 yards and a pair of touchdowns in Saturday's win over  Villanova. The sophomore gave the Hawks the go ahead score with 46 seconds left on a 16-yard touchdown run. He averaged 9.6 yards per rush with a long of 56 yards on a career-high 22 carries in the victory. Shirden became the first back to run for 200+ yards against a Villanova defense since Jerry Azumah did it in 1995 and is also the first Monmouth back to rush for over 100 yards in three straight games since
Juwon Farri did it in the Spring 2021 season. Twelve of Shirden's rushes resulted in first downs for the Hawks, including the 56 and 16-yard touchdown.

Shirden also earned Co-Offensive Player of the Week after rushing for 299 yards against Fordham two weeks ago. He currently leads the NCAA in rushing with 664 yards rushing and 166 yards per game.
