The following policies are in effect until further notice:

1. All fans 18 and over are required to provide proof of vaccination or a negative COVID test administered by a doctor's office or a clinic within 72 hours of the event time for indoor Athletic events. Home test kit results will not be accepted.

3. Athletic events held in the OceanFirst Bank Center will be permitted to have food in the stands as long as masks remain on when the participant is not actively consuming food or beverages. Masks must be worn otherwise.

Men's and women's basketball season ticket holders will be mailed (and emailed) instructions on how to obtain a vaccine credential which will require them to show their vaccine cards once and receive a credential to speed up entrance to events. Season ticket holders who are not vaccinated will need to show proof a negative test within 72 hours of the event for every event attended.

Additionally, there will be separate entrances for students, season ticket holders and the general public. More information on those locations will be available on MonmouthHawks.com

OPENING TIP
-Saturday's game marks Monmouth's annual Play4Kay game.
-A win would mark the Hawks' first regular season sweep of the Bobcats since the 2003-04 campaign.
-Monmouth has dropped two road games in a row to Manhattan and Siena, and is looking to get back into the win column.
-Since the loss to Monmouth, Quinnipiac has won seven of its last eight outings, including five straight victories.

INSIDE THE SERIES
-Saturday's matchup between Monmouth and Quinnipiac is the 52nd all-time meeting between the two sides and the second this season.
-Monmouth snapped Quinnipiac's 11-game win streak in the all-time series by defeating the Bobcats, 70-60, on Jan. 6 in Hamden, Conn. It was the Hawks first win over the Bobcats since Jan. 19, 2017 and the first victory in Hamden since March 6, 2012.
-The 70 points were the most scored against Quinnipiac by a Monmouth squad since Feb. 25, 2008.
-Monmouth's last home win over Quinnipiac came on Jan. 19, 2017 when the Hawks bested the Bobcats, 61-58.

PLAY4KAY
Play4Kay is a national movement through the Kay Yow Cancer Fund focused on the fight against women's cancers. Former NC State head coach Kay Yow began the tradition in 2006 when one of NC State's home games each season would be dedicated to raising awareness and money for women's cancers. In 2009 Coach Yow lost her battle with stage 4 breast cancer but women's basketball teams across the country continue to honor her legacy each year with a Play4Kay game.

What is the Kay Yow Cancer Fund?
The Kay Yow Cancer Fund was officially founded on December 3, 2007, from the vision of Kay Yow, former NC State head women's basketball coach. Yow was first diagnosed with breast cancer in 1987 and passed away on January 24, 2009, after facing her third bout with the disease. Before her death, she joined forces with the Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) and The V Foundation for Cancer Research to form the Kay Yow Cancer Fund, a 501 (c)(3) charitable organization committed to being a part of finding an answer in the fight against women's cancers through raising money for scientific research, assisting the underserved, and unifying people for a common cause.

THE 20-POINT MARK
Graduate student guard Stella Clark posted her third 20-point performance of the season after scoring 21 in the Hawks' most-recent game against Siena on Thursday.  She is the first Hawk to log three or more 20-point games in a season since Sierra Green '20 recorded five during the 2018-19 campaign.

VANDERHOOPING
Sophomore Ariana Vanderhoop has reached double figures in the scoring column in each of her last four games and six times in her last eight outings. Since the game against Quinnipiac at Jan. 6, she is averaging 9.9 points per game, but what has stood out most is her shooting percentages. Vanderhoop is shooting 43 percent from the field and 50 percent from 3-point range on 20 3-point tries. She has also been one of the team's best rebounders, reeling in 4.5 boards per tilt. Before the game at Quinnipiac on Jan. 6, the Boston native was averaging 6.8 points per game, while shooting just 37 percent from the field and 19 percent from long range.

BOUNCING BACK
Monmouth has made a habit of bouncing back after losses this season. The Hawks are currently 5-2 in games played after a loss.
