NOTES AND QUOTES
"Obviously not the way we wanted to start the season. I thought [pitcher] Kylie [Gletow] threw a very good game. We had some routine plays in the top of the second that didn't go our way which we'll get cleaned up for tomorrow. We put together good at-bats and performed well on the basepaths, and we'll come back tomorrow for our two games stronger and ready to play."  –Head Coach Shannon Salsburg

-All four of Monmouth's hits came from different players
-The Hawks held the Wildcats scoreless in six out of seven innings
-Six players made their first appearance as a Hawk: Stavi Augur, Lexi Castaneda, Nicole Mucha, Emily Spencer, Eve Serrato, and Torraca
-Warner caught a runner stealing in the top of the first following a strikeout
